Connect risk assessments with the work that follows

A risk register is useful when it remains connected to the work that follows an assessment: agreeing measures, assigning responsibility and checking execution.

We develop Automation K2 risk management solutions that connect these activities with the tools people use to manage their work. Each implementation starts with analysis of your methodologies, responsibilities and reporting needs.

Different methodologies, a connected structure

Our development experience covers multiple risk management methodologies:

  • IT governance;
  • environment;
  • sustainability;
  • strategic and operational activity;
  • security management;
  • aviation security;
  • energy security;
  • occupational health and safety.

The assessment approach is adapted to the relevant risk domain.

The common environment brings the information together while retaining the assessment approach required for each area.

Connect the full assessment cycle

The implemented functionality includes risk analysis and assessment, a unified risk register and a mitigation measures register linked to the relevant risks and analyses.

A user can work from an assessment to its related risk and mitigation measures, rather than treating each as an isolated record. That relationship gives the follow-up work its context: what is being addressed, which analysis it relates to and who is responsible.

Responsibilities cover assessment approval and control of follow-up tasks. The implemented solution includes integration with LVRTC eParaksts for electronic protocol signing. Tasks are available through K2 Worklist and were integrated into the customer’s existing work dashboard.

For a new implementation, we define approval responsibilities and task handling with your process owners. We agree how users should access their tasks and whether integration with an existing workspace is required.

Reporting for review and oversight

Microsoft Power BI reports support review of the recorded risk information. The measures, views and access required for a new implementation are defined with the customer.

Adapt the solution to your organisation

We use this experience as a basis for a tailored implementation. Analysis determines your assessment scales, approval responsibilities, reporting requirements and the relationships between risks and mitigation work.

The scope of electronic signing, its configuration and any external service requirements are agreed for your environment. After implementation, we provide documentation, maintenance and training where needed.
